I'm Ed Tatton. I run a small design studio, publish a daily civic brief for my city, keep a sourced ledger of surveillance-tech failures, DJ weddings on the side, and build private tools for my family and myself. This page is the index.

The Norwalk Sound
A daily civic brief for Norwalk, Connecticut. It reads the city's meeting agendas, packets and minutes, local news, public filings, weather and tides, and publishes before breakfast, with a Sunday newsletter and a full Spanish edition.
The public record here is public but scattered across portals nobody has time to read. The Sound puts it in one place. Anything interpretive is AI-drafted and held for human review before it publishes; the record itself is published verbatim; no names from police logs ever appear.

Nothing To See Here
A running, sourced timeline of how license-plate readers, body cameras, AI report-writers and the rest of the "public-safety technology" market are actually going, and what the failures cost taxpayers. A counter in the corner, THE TAB, adds up the documented public money.
The format is borrowed, with credit, from Web3 Is Going Just Great. Every entry cites its sources and nothing publishes until code has confirmed a fetched source supports the claim, the date and the dollar figure. The entries are deadpan on purpose; the facts carry the irony.

ChewyDown Productions
My DJ side hustle. ChewyDown Productions has played weddings and private events since 2000, mainly in the Hudson Valley and across the tri-state area, alongside my best friend from childhood, DJ Big Mike.
It is the oldest project on this page by a couple of decades, and the only one whose success is measured by a full dance floor.

FamilyBot
A private archive for two families: a family tree, people pages, recipes, photos and stories, built to the standard "could your grandmother use this on her phone, alone, on the first try?"
Genealogy lives in spreadsheets and subscription sites. This puts the proved research, the scanned certificates and the recipes in one warm place, with every edit logged and every invite admin-only.
No link: invite-only, by design.

HealthIntel
A news-intelligence briefing built for one reader. It ingests healthcare trade press, publisher newsletters and news feeds, clusters the same story across outlets, ranks by relevance and writes a daily brief and a weekly digest.
It runs under one honesty rule: it may never state a fact that wasn't in the retrieved headline or blurb, and it says which outlet is covering what rather than pretending to have read the article.
No link: single-reader tool behind a login.

Marketing Dashboard & Ad Sandbox
Two browser-only tools for a college marketing team. The dashboard turns exported campaign CSVs from social, email and web into charts and branded PDF reports. The Ad Sandbox tests ad copy against fifteen synthetic student personas before it runs.
No install, no server, no admin rights: they open from a shared drive by double-click, and the data never leaves the machine.
No link: lives on an internal network drive.

I'm Edward Joseph Tatton III. Ed is fine. I've spent nearly twenty years in creative communications at a college in New York, where I lead the team behind its brand, print, photography and web, and where I more recently led its AI readiness work: the survey, the strategic plan, the advisory committee and the guidance.
ET3 Media is the studio I run alongside that. The other projects on this page are what I build when nobody asked me to.
I hold a master's in Information Design & Technology and a bachelor's in Photography and Art History, and I've taught graphic design as an adjunct. I live in Norwalk, Connecticut.
